To enhance students' knowledge and skills in emergency medical care and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, on March 31, the School of Basic Medical Sciences, in collaboration with the Jinan Red Cross Society, organized an emergency rescue training session for the MBBS program. More than 60 international students from countries including Iran and Portugal participated in the event.
The training adopted a combined approach of "theoretical explanation, hands-on practice, and on-site assessment," ensuring both professionalism and practicality. Three experts from the Jinan Red Cross Society drew on real clinical emergency cases and used plain language to systematically explain the core principles and key techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as the operating procedures, standards, and precautions for using AEDs.
During the practical session, the experts demonstrated standard procedures on-site, provided group guidance to students, and patiently corrected issues such as insufficient compression depth and improper airway opening, ensuring that every participant could master standardized first-aid operations. Through professional instruction from the trainers, the students engaged in repeated practice, and ultimately all more than 60 participants passed the assessment successfully.
