On March 30, 2026, an academic lecture entitledJourney from SDU to FDS: Advances in Cancer Radiotherapy & Future Opportunitieswas held at Baotuquan Campus of Shandong University.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz, a distinguished senior alumnus from Pakistan. He shared his academic and professional journey at SDU, and introduced FDS, cutting-edge technologies in cancer radiotherapy, the applications of artificial intelligence and big data, as well as pathways for China-Pakistan medical cooperation.

Some international students were invited to attend the event and showed keen interest in the lecture content. Dr. Shahbaz engaged in active and in-depth interactions with all participating students.

Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz enrolled at Shandong University in 2006 as an MBBS student, where he later completed his Master’s and PhD degrees. His inspiring experience has motivated younger students to pursue their dreams.
