On April 26, the 2025 China Belt and Road International Undergraduate Medical Innovation Competition Shandong University Campus Finals was held at the Baotuquan Campus. Three MBBS international student teams achieved outstanding results, winning one First Prize, one Second Prize, and one Third Prize, with two teams advancing to the quarter-finals.

  The China Belt and Road International Undergraduate Medical Innovation Competition formerly known as the National Forum for Basic Medical Innovation Research and Experimental Design, is a guideline-setting, exemplary, and mass-participation scientific innovation event for college students. Organized by the National Committee for Medical Innovation Competitions for College Students, it has been included in the "Analysis Report on National College Student Competitions" by the China Association of Higher Education since 2023, making it a nationally recognized benchmark for innovation competitions in higher education.
